THE DISCOVERY PROCESS

A discovery call of around 20-30 minutes with a prospective client. This is an all-important chemistry check, where we can each introduce ourselves and have an initial discussion about the property, an outline scope of works, budgets and timeframes, wishes hopes and dreams. We like to have floor plans and photographs made available for this call. Usually, the discovery call will bring up points for further consideration, and we usually aim to have a further call a week or so later to talk these through.

An ‘on site’ meeting with our client in which we walk through the property and assess the scope of works in more depth. Seeing the property in the flesh is crucial for us to be able to understand the space, guide the clients’ vision, assess whether the planned scope of works feels realistic, and to take all of our own detailed photographs.

Following the in depth site meeting, we draw up a detailed fee proposal. This covers concept design, detailed design, the production of a drawing package, sourcing and specification of furniture, fixtures and fittings, placing orders and project management. Everything that we will be designing and doing for the project from start to finish is explained and covered. The fee proposal also details the different design phases so that our clients can understand how the project will unfold from the word go.

Our fee proposal is accepted, we sign contracts, take a deposit payment and start work!

THE DESIGN PROCESS

We create the vision, build the aesthetic, and focus on understanding our clients’ lives more deeply. We create an aesthetic brief distilled in writing, mood boards, drawings and concepts to test their practical needs and their wildest dreams.

We evolve the concept while entering the detailed design phase in depth, we work up the detailed design of the spaces and source the items which will eventually fill them.

Functionality and beauty always go hand in hand.
