Founder Ellen Cumber originally trained as a fine artist, and made a move into interiors a few years after university. Producing beautiful drawing packages is her penchant at work. Beyond work, particular passions include buying ceramics, practising yoga, obsessing about organic food and frequenting auction sites. Ellen founded Golden Design in 2013.
Senior Designer Alice Bettington is particularly passionate about interior decoration and can often be found researching and discovering new craftspeople and antiques dealers to collaborate with. Alice has a small daughter, Molly, and a very fluffy cat, Minnie. They live harmoniously together in her ever-evolving Victorian property in Clapton. Alice has been part of the team since 2017.
